STIK-N-PAINT LOGOS
INSTRUCTIONS
Make your normal paint preparations. Be sure if you recently painted your room that the paint is cured. If you have not recently painted be sure to wipe the surface with a clean wet cloth and let dry.
- Lay the Stik-N-Paint™ logo on a flat surface and apply pressure across the front and back to ensure the transfer paper is secure.
- Turn the Stik-N-Paint™ face down; begin to pull the release paper off from the top straight back against itself. If any part of the logo design sticks to the release paper as you pull it, just press the release paper back onto the logo and apply pressure with your fingers and resume removing the remaining paper.
- Make sure you know where you want to place the logo. You may want to have tape or marks on the wall to guide you. Once you apply the Stik-N-Paint™ to the wall it should not be removed until you are finished painting.
- Place the top of the Stik-N-Paint™ on the wall making sure it is straight. (Line the logo up and not the top of the vinyl) Begin applying the exposed adhesive of the logo to the wall with your hand from the top edge, continue pressing from the center out towards the edges. Continue applying pressure from the center out until the entire logo is on the wall.
- Apply pressure to the entire logo and ensure the logo is secure to the wall surface.
- Remove the transfer paper by slowly pulling the transfer paper straight back. You should pull slowly to ensure the logo stays on the wall and does not pull off with the transfer paper. It helps if you keep your fingers are tight against the transfer paper. Since the designs are large you may want to cut away some of the transfer paper if it starts to get in the way.
- Once the paper is off apply pressure to the entire logo again to ensure you don’t have any gaps under the paint vinyl..
Paint.
For a smooth finish use a dense 4” foam roller. You just want to make sure it doesn’t have too much paint. Roll your roller over paper towels to get excess paint off the roller. Roll with even medium pressure. You will probably want 2-4 coats of paint; allow paint to dry between coats. If you need to use more than one color you can tape off other parts of the logo with painters tape. Wtih the exception of the Ohio State Athletic O (which also looks greats in one color) the designs we choose typically only need one paint color applied. The other parts of the logo will be the wall color.
Remove
Let the paint dry to the touch before you remove the vinyl.
Pull the logo pattern away straight back at a 180 degree angle.
Some logos will have smaller pieces that will need removed. You can use a needle or push pin to lift the edge so you don’t damage your painted logo.
