About Team Stencils & Stik-ables

Team Stencils originally introduced wall stencils to the collegiate market in 2003 featuring stencils ranging in size from 4"-30". Although many fans loved the stencils, many more fans simply wanted an easy way to decorate their room without spending a lot of time.

In October of 2004 the owner, Tammy Gickler, came up with the idea to make extra large wall decals that would be safe for walls and remove without leaving a residue or harming the wall. Since college fans were her primary market she knew she would also need to make sure fans could use them on multiple surfaces and also use them outdoors. Up to this point just about all vinyl decals were shiny, Tammy wanted to have more of a matte finish to blend with walls and not look so much like a sticker. This was not an easy task at the time. It took several months to find the right adhesive and also the right look.

Finally, in March 2005 Team Stencils officially released Stik-ables at a national trade show. Since the release of Stik-ables there have been many other similar products released big and small but none that have all the qualities.

What's so special about Stik-ables you ask? Well just for starters- the founding company, Team Stencils, is a woman owned family business whose primary focus is having a great quality product at reasonable prices made in the USA. Sure, they want to make a profit but more important they want to truly love what they do and have fun. Tammy still designs and approves all new products herself and that is what keeps Team Stencils a step ahead of their competitors. "You have to have Passion for what you do, you can't pay someone to love what they do" says Tammy. "Our fans are so passionate about their teams and it is rewarding to hear the ideas they have for their rooms".

Stik-ables are sold in college bookstores and specialty stores as well as gift and better sporting goods stores. Stik-ables can also be found on the Team Stencils website store . The product comes in Party Packs with 8 4"-6" decals, 12" decals, and 3 different room size packs.

In 2007 Team Stencils will begin doing business as "Tagler Designs" and they will be releasing a new line of products known as "Mascot Babies". Since this is the 3rd line of products we have released we felt the name Team Stencils just didn't fit. The name is a combination of my initials TAG (Tammy Amos Gickler) and the "ler" from the my last name (Gickler).
