At this point I knew there had to be many other fans with the same problem I was experiencing. I had to take action, I decided I wanted to create my own product that was easy to use for myself and other fans to show their team sprit in their homes. I also wanted to bring something unique to the collegiate market. With my extensive background in Business Fashion Marketing, computers and Chris’s background in Marketing and Business Management we decided to start a new business (Poor Chris), so Team Stencil Designs LLC was born.

Our first order of business was to get licensed with the universities. We started with Ohio State since that was the whole reason we started the business in the first place. After many hard hours of design work, many late nights and lots of trial and error we finally submitted our idea to Ohio State. The whole licensing process was tough and a lot of hard work, but we finally got the word that we were APPROVED in May of 2003 by Ohio State. Looking back on it now three years later this was a big life changing event for both of us.

Our first season was a great success with only Ohio State. It did help that this was year after OSU won the 2002 Football National Title.

Since then we received approval from the CLC, Michigan State, Virginia Tech and Iowa so we can offer fans of other great schools our products. Over the last 3 years we have created some new and innovative products for the collegiate market like our Stik-ables tm (wall decals). Stik-ables tm offer all fans young and old an easy way to show their team sprit on just about anything in just minutes. We just recently released our newest product Stik-N-Paint tm logos.

So by now you are probably wondering if Chris ever got his team room. Well yes he did but it took me 2 years to do it, it looks GREAT and Chris loves it. And the best part of it all was I had a lot of fun doing it.
